Hailed for her "probing, restless intellect and enormous beauty of tone," violist Kim Kashkashian has achieved worldwide recognition as a performer, recording artist, and pedagogue. She won a Grammy Award for her Ligeti and Kurtag recordings and received the George Peabody Medal and Switzerland’s Golden Bow Award. Kashkashian has performed with top orchestras, including those in Berlin, London, and New York, and at prestigious venues globally. A committed educator and founder of "Music for Food," she teaches at the New England Conservatory and has made significant contributions to contemporary music through collaborations with leading composers.
